Established in 2014, Jerk King quickly took flight, making a name for itself at local events like St Pauls Carnival and The Ship Inn, where the demand for its tantalising jerk chicken was nothing short of phenomenal. Visited Jerk King last night, prior to going to The Document. Fantastic food - really delicious (although the sauce was a bit mild for my liking). Ash was cooking/preparing - great guy - very amicable, with great service - from Sylvia - served with a glowing smile! Seriously - this is great food at a really reasonable price. Takeaways available - really delicious food and great service all at a really reasonable price - why wouldn't you?

Absolutely spot on. Me and some friends went to the spot by the Malcolm X building in St.Pauls. When we arrived, the chicken was smoking out back on traditional smokers and the smell was incredible. I ordered Jerk chicken for £11 which in today’s climate I think is a bargain. It was delicious; the rice and peas were on point as well. Some of the best I’ve had, and I’d absolutely go again.

Kings for a reason! These guys came to my work today and their food was incredible! I had the pumpkin and chickpea curry and went up for more. Everyone in my team loved it. Popped into the Malcolm X centre to grab some lunch, had the warmest welcome from Ashley and his team, we came away with jerk chicken, jerk pork both served with rice n peas and Jerk Kings’ sauce, also took some loaded fries. Each dish packed full of flavour, full of spice, sweetness and succulent ingredients. I really cannot stress enough how much you should 100 percent get down and taste their delicious food.

Our Food

We’ve already mentioned the loaded fries, new for 2023, curry goat is back on our menu to compliment our tasty, highly-rated, authentic jerk chicken, rice & peas, salad and (optional) coleslaw. There’s also a vegan dish and we can do specials such as dumplings or plantain if required. With any meal, don’t forget to add a generous helping of our famous hot sauce!
We are a pop-up supplier of nicely spicy, authentic Jamaican jerk – catering for festivals, special events, and pubs & clubs throughout the South West & UK. With its unique flavours and tantalising aromas, our BBQ provides the ultimate feel-good carnival food.
